Background
Lavanya is a Manager on Grant Thornton’s Insurance and Corporate team in the Cayman Islands. She graduated from Delhi University in 2013 and began her career with a Big-4 accounting firm in India, completing her Certified Public Accountant examination in 2018.
Experience
Lavanya has experience working with various captives within the Cayman Islands, including reinsurance life annuities, and has extensive experience in the audits of retail and service industry.
Industry experience
Lavanya is fully qualified CPA with over 8 years of audit experience reporting under US GAAP and IFRS. After graduating from Delhi University, she began her career with Big-4 firm in India. She continued working with the firm for six years during which she was seconded to the offices within the United State of America. She then transferred to Grant Thornton Cayman Islands in 2019 and specialized within the Insurance and Corporate division.
