Background
Denis is an Audit Senior Manager at Grant Thornton Cayman Islands in the Funds practice.
Denis graduated from University College Dublin (UCD) with a Bachelor in Commerce. During his studies, Denis completed an internship with Grant Thornton Ireland and upon completion of his degree, Denis joined Grant Thornton Ireland’s financial services audit team and qualified as a Chartered Accountant (ACA).
Denis completed a secondment in Grant Thornton’s New York office and worked in the Funds practice before moving to the Cayman Islands office in 2019.
Experience
Denis has over 5 years of financial services audit experience reporting under The Financial Reporting Standards Applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland (FRS), International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP).
Denis’ industry experience includes funds, banking and crypto entities. After spending time in Dublin, New York and now Cayman Islands, Denis specializes in Funds and focuses primarily on hedge funds, fund of funds, private equity funds, mutual funds and other alternative investment vehicles.
