He gained his Master’s in Accounting in 2009 at Texas State University and qualified as a Certified Public Accountant in Texas. Phillip is responsible for the delivery of tax compliance and tax advisory services to clients in the financial services sector.
Experience
Phillip has provided tax compliance and tax advisory services for international and domestic hedge funds, private equity, reinsurance, and management clients. He has advised on tax structuring for onshore and offshore vehicles, international reporting requirements, and overall tax function optimization. Phillip spent the first 12 years of his career working for one of the big four asset management tax practices in Bermuda, BVI, and Grand Cayman.
Industry experience
Phillip joined a top international accounting firm in Grand Cayman in 2011 and was appointed Associate Partner in 2022. He has served the asset management industry across the Caribbean in BVI, Bermuda and the Cayman Islands. In 2023, Phillip joined Grant Thornton Cayman Islands as a Tax Partner.
